ExoInsight provides the option to use single sign-on (SSO) to log into Essbase instead of manually entering a username and password.
- ExoInsight must be running on a Windows server
- Active Directory must be used
- ExoInsight must be in the same Active Directory domain as the clients who will be accessing it
To enable SSO with ExoInsight, follow these steps:
Open the keystore.properties file located at
Set the AllowSingleSignOnByEnvironment flag to true
Note: The SSO_And_Impersonation_Username_regex value can be set to control what section of the Windows username is used to sign into Essbase. The most commonly used values are already provided.
Restart ExoInsight. Navigate to the Essbase Environments setup screen in ExoInsight.
Set the Allow Single Sign On checkbox and enter the admin username and password. This must be an Essbase admin:
SSO is now available.
