Prerequisites
System Requirements
- Windows operating system with .NET Framework 4.6.1 or higher.
- Admin rights to install the software.
Other Required Information
- A username and password that can log into the source system
- The SSAS server name
Installation
Download the ExoInsight SSAS Connector for Alteryx installer. The filename will be in the following format:
ExoInsight_SSAS_Installer_X.X.X.exe
Double-click the ExoInsight_SSAS_Installer_X.X.X.exe file to start the installation.

Select an installation directory
Installation confirmation

Running ExoInsight for SSAS
Once installed, ExoInsight for SSAS will need to be started to enable querying SSAS from Alteryx or a web browser.
To start ExoInsight for SSAS, search for ExoInsight for Analysis Services in the start menu and click to run:
Once started, you can confirm ExoInsight for SSAS is running properly by navigating to the following URL in a Chrome browser:
http://localhost:9190/ExoInsight_SSAS
If ExoInsight for SSAS is properly running, the following screen will be displayed in the Chrome browser:
ExoInsight Alteryx Plug-in for SSAS
To utilize ExoInsight to connect your Alteryx workflows directly to your SSAS cubes, download and install the ExoInsight Alteryx Plug-in for SSAS.
The installation file will be of the format
ExoInsight_SSAS_Connector_X.X.X.yxi
Download the file to your desktop and double-click. The Plug-in will then be added to your Alteryx toolbar under the Connectors menu. You may then safely delete the downloaded yxi file.
